The second International Cup commences in Melbourne on Wednesday 3rd August. The inaugural Cup in 2002 was a great success with 11 nations competing.
The 2005 Cup will again involve 11 nations with Canada, Great Britain, Ireland (2002 winners), Japan, Nauru, New Zealand, PNG, Samoa, South Africa, Spain and the United States taking part.
Matches will be played around various venues both in Melbourne and in regional areas, including Optus Oval and Teac Oval as well as in Wangaratta. The Grand Final will take place at the MCG on Friday August 13th as a curtain raiser to the Collingwood v Carlton match.
