Rovers away v Old Carey
Published: Friday 21st May 2010 9:00 AM by HRAFCThe Hampton Rovers take on the in-form Old Carey this Saturday at Bulleen in Round 7 of the VAFA Premier B season.
The Rovers had a confidence-boosting win last week over St Bernards and currently sit at three and three in terms of wins and losses. Although sitting eighth on the ladder, the Rovers are equal fourth due to five teams on 12 points. Four points this week would do the Rovers wonders and the players will be looking to continue their good form.
Old Carey sit equal on three wins with the Rovers and after going down to Old Essendon, have responded with big wins over St Kevins and Old Haileybury.
All Rovers supporters are encouraged to make the trip and show your support in this must-win game. The Carey Sports Complex is located on Bulleen Road (exit off the Eastern Fwy, heading North, not far up on the left), Melway’s reference 32 C10. Click Here to view a map. If you’re unable to make it to Bulleen, head along to Boss James Reserve where both the Thirds and Under 19’s are at home. First up the Thirds take on Old Geelong at 11:40am, followed by the Under 19’s vs St Kevins at 2:00pm.
The Bar at the club will be open following the U19’s game until late Saturday night. Everyone is welcome back for a drink.
