U13 East Coach's Report - Round 6
Published: Friday 25th May 2012 10:37 AM by HRAFCThings can change in fifteen minutes. We saw that on Sunday at East Sandy. We were one goal down at quarter time. Let’s skip to the third quarter – we won that – 2 goals to 1. We drew the last quarter 2 goals a piece. Now let’s go back to the second quarter – hmmmmmmmmmm 6 goals to none. They played ROVERS FOOTY against us!!!!! So from that – we will take some lessons from Sunday’s game. When we have possession and we run and spread – put the ball in space – we look great and we get the fast breaks and we score goals. When we kick to packs – we turn the ball over. So this week on the track – we’ll be working on running and spreading – getting out in space and using our first options to give to a running player to break the lines. Great debut by Sammy Stevo – a goal and a super tackle on one of the bigger East Sandy players. Tackling and bumping must be a “Sam” thing – what a bump by Sammy Larkers that caused a turnover and almost a goal in the last quarter. All round – some really good efforts by heaps of guys. Couldn’t go past Andy Brayshaw for a 4 quarter effort of hard attacking endeavour at the ball.
