FEMALE FOOTBALL TO RETURN TO THE ROVERS IN 2017!
The Hampton Rovers Football Club plans on fielding four female football teams in 2017 - open-age women's in the new VAFA Women's competition, and up to four junior girls teams in the SMJFL. This represents an exciting new era for the club and we can't wait to be part of it! Register your interest below and join the revolution.
OPEN-AGE WOMEN'S (VAFA)
The club will field an open-age senior women's team in the new VAFA Women's Football competition in 2017. This is an exciting new era for Victoria's premier community football competition and the club is embracing it. The season will commence early April and the inaugural season will be run as a development league focusing on participation. Initial interest has been huge and following the information night, we already have over 40 players interested, but it's not too late to register your interest! Please use the form below. SMJFL Girls Footy has gone from strength to strength and after a few years without a team, the club plans to field multiple junior girls footy teams in 2017. The season will kick-off in April with games on Sunday's. For more info, click here to visit the Juniors website.
Hampton Rovers will have the honour of hosting the first ever VAFA Women's game for premiership points, under lights at Boss James Reserve on Friday April 7. Tickets are now on-sale for the pre-game function.
